Lebara recently made a significant move by migrating its customers to the 5G network. Despite this transition, the internet speed will not experience any noticeable changes in the near future, as confirmed by the provider.
As per Lebara's statement to Tweakers, the shift involves a switch from KPN's 4G to KPN's 5G network, which the provider consistently utilizes. Some tech enthusiasts had already observed the provider's activities in this regard. "Lebara has indeed implemented a technical upgrade by transitioning from the 4G network to the 5G network," stated a spokesperson. "
However, the internet speed for our customers will remain unchanged." Consequently, the provider has refrained from disclosing additional details on this matter. Lebara's SIM-only packages currently offer a download speed of 75Mbit/s and an upload speed of 25Mbit/s, but clients also have the option to subscribe to plans with double the speed for both uploading and downloading data.
