Google is facing criticism after displaying offensive and stereotypical definitions when users searched for the word "Jew." The top definition listed the word as an offensive verb meaning to bargain in a miserly way, with origins in old stereotypes about Jewish people and money. 

Additional associated verbs like "jewed" and "jewing" were also provided.Google's secondary definition of "Jew" as a noun referred to a member of the Jewish community. 

The offensive definitions have since been removed, but backlash against Google continues. Various individuals and organizations have expressed their outrage on social media, calling out Google for perpetuating antisemitic tropes.

The tech giant has yet to respond to media inquiries about the incident.
