Exclusive Opportunity: Apple Launches Developer Kit Program for Vision Pro-VR Glasses

1 year ago 21240

Apple has recently launched the option for developers to request developer kits for their Vision Pro-VR glasses. This exciting new opportunity allows app developers to borrow these dev kits in order to create immersive and innovative experiences for users. The Vision Pro-VR glasses are set to be officially released in the US early next year, with a price tag of $3499.

Starting from Monday, July 24th, developers can request the Vision Pro dev kits by visiting the official Apple website. Once assigned a developer kit, developers will receive the kit to borrow along with assistance in setting up the device and guidance through the onboarding process. Apple offers regular "check-ins" with their experts, who can provide support in UI design, development, and app refinement. Additionally, developers are granted two support requests to help resolve any coding issues they may encounter.

While the opportunity to borrow a developer kit is exciting, not all developers are eligible to receive one. Eligible developers must be part of the Apple Developer program and meet certain criteria, including providing information about their existing apps and demonstrating the development skills of their team. Developers must also agree to Apple's terms and conditions. Priority is given to developers who are creating apps that utilize the functions and capabilities of visionOS.

In addition to offering developer kits, Apple is also hosting Vision Pro developer labs in various locations around the world, including Cupertino, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. These labs provide developers with the opportunity to test and optimize their apps for use with the Vision Pro glasses, with guidance and support from Apple experts. Developers are required to bring their own Mac code and necessary supplies to run their apps on the Vision Pro device.
