Sonos is set to launch an update for the Sonos S2 app on May 7, as reported by The Verge based on leaked screenshots. The company has reportedly revamped the app's user interface and simplified the process of installing new devices.

According to The Verge, Sonos has done away with the tabs that currently appear at the bottom of the Sonos S2 app. Instead, the different sections of the app will now be displayed on the home screen. The screenshots obtained by The Verge also suggest that a search bar will be located at the bottom of the app.

In addition, Sonos has made changes to the app icon, the mini player, the screen containing control buttons, and the home screen. Following the update, users will also have the ability to personalize the home screen.
