World Health Day, celebrated every year on April 7th, serves as a crucial reminder of the significance of maintaining good health and well-being. This day shines a light on the importance of staying healthy while also raising awareness about various health issues that affect people worldwide. The theme for this year's World Health Day, "My Health, My Right," emphasizes the fundamental human right of every individual to have access to quality healthcare services, education, and information.

It also highlights the disparities in healthcare access across different regions of the world and calls for action to ensure equitable health outcomes for all individuals. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), at least 140 countries recognize health as a human right in their constitution, yet many countries fail to pass and implement laws guaranteeing their populations access to essential health services. Shockingly, in 2021, more than half of the global population, approximately 4.

5 billion people, did not have full access to essential health services. WHO further elaborates on the theme for World Health Day 2024, stating that the focus remains on championing the right of every individual to access quality health services, education, information, clean water, clean air, proper nutrition, quality housing, decent working conditions, and freedom from discrimination. This underscores the holistic approach needed to ensure overall well-being and health equity for all.

In an exclusive interview with WION, celebrities like Saiyami Kher, Gulshan Devaiah, and others shared their personal stories, fitness mantras, and essential health messages in honor of World Health Day. Actor Gulshan Devaiah, known for his role in "Blurr" alongside Taapsee Pannu, emphasized the importance of health after a major injury in 2017. He advocates for incorporating moderate-intensity exercise and a balanced diet into daily life to promote both physical and mental wellness.

Devaiah follows a meal routine consisting of raw vegetables, cooked vegetables, fruits, protein, and carbohydrates, emphasizing the importance of consuming real, whole foods over supplements. Encouraging his fans, Devaiah shared, "Prioritize your health, both physical and mental, by finding a workout regime that works for you and being consistent with it." He also humorously mentioned celebrating World Health Day by indulging in a kilogram of Mysore Pak, a traditional Indian sweet.

Actress Saiyami Kher, who debuted in the Telugu film "Rey" in 2015, highlighted the importance of daily self-care. She emphasized that taking just 20 minutes a day to focus on one's health is attainable for everyone, citing examples of celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar who prioritize their health despite busy schedules. Kher expressed that workouts have been her go-to therapy during difficult times, particularly running, which clears her mind and boosts her mood.

Actor Alexx ONell, known for his role in "Ae Watan Mere Watan," shared a poignant message for World Health Day, urging individuals to prioritize personal fulfillment over external validations. He emphasized the importance of balancing physical, mental, and financial health while pursuing activities that bring personal happiness and contentment. ONell advocated for making self-care practices a priority and developing healthy habits for a happier and healthier lifestyle.

As the world celebrates World Health Day, it serves as a call to action for individuals to prioritize their health and well-being, recognizing it as a fundamental human right. Through awareness, education, and advocacy, we can strive towards achieving equitable health outcomes for everyone, everywhere. Let's embrace the theme of "My Health, My Right" and commit to fostering a culture of health and wellness for a better future.
