The highly anticipated sequel to Alan Wake, Alan Wake II, has had its release date changed from October 17 to October 27. Developer Remedy made this decision in order to give players more time to enjoy their favorite games during what they call a 'great month for game releases'.

While Remedy has not specified which games players might now have 'more room to enjoy', October is set to see the release of titles such as Forza Motorsport, Assassin's Creed: Mirage, Cities Skylines 2, Alone in the Dark, and Total War: Pharaoh.

Alan Wake 2 comes out 13 years after the original game, and stays true to its roots as a third-person shooter and survival horror game. The storyline of the game draws heavily from the iconic television series Twin Peaks. Fans of Remedy's previous work will be excited to learn that Alan Wake and Control exist within the same fictional universe. The crossover between the two games was first explored in a DLC for Control, and a remastered version of the original Alan Wake was also released in 2021.

Alan Wake II will be available for Windows, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. For Windows users, the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

Players can look forward to diving back into the eerie world of Alan Wake on October 27, as they uncover new mysteries and face supernatural threats in a game that is sure to keep them on the edge of their seats.
